Legalities

Legalities . . .

It is important to note that ceremonies conducted by a celebrant are not legally binding. In England and Wales only Registrars and church ministers can legally complete the paperwork for a marriage. This means that this part remains separate to your Celebrant Wedding Ceremony.

If you wish to make your union legally recognised, you can arrange to attend the Register Office or another licensed venue to complete the legalities at a time convenient to you which may be on the morning of your celebrant wedding ceremony or any period before.

Some couples do choose to have a celebrant wedding ceremony only but this will not be legally recognised.

Whether it be for a wedding, civil partnership, vow renewal or naming ceremony, or any other significant occasion in life; whether your preferences are for the more traditional or the contemporary; I will work with you to create the ceremony you want and ensure it is all you wish it to be.
